Man Hacked To Death In Mahalakshmi Layout

A 25-year-old man was brutally murdered by a gang of armed men in Mahalakshmi Layout in the early hours on Tuesday. The deceased identified as Androse, was a resident of Srirampura, the police said.

According to the police, Androse was unemployed and involved in brawls with local gangs. The police suspect murder could be due to an old rivalry as the assailants chased and attacked him multiple times using lethal weapons.

They even crushed his head with a cement block to make sure he is dead, the police said. A few passers-by who noticed Androse in a pool of blood on a roadside pavement informed the police. The police shifted the body for postmortem. A case of murder was registered at the Mahalakshmi Layout police station and further investigations are underway.
