This December, theatre takes centre-stage with Deccan Herald Theatre Festival

The Deccan Herald Theatre Festival will be held in Bengaluru across various locations from 3rd December to 10th December. As a festival that celebrates and promotes the city's theatre talent, this is one of the most awaited events in Bengaluru's calendar.

This year, the festival is set to be bigger with more theatre styles and geographic coverage.

The schedule of the festival is as follows:


Dec. 3
Play: Mother Courage and Her Children
Director: Quasar Thakore Padamsee
Location: Chowdiah Memorial Hall, Malleswaram
Time: 7 pm to 9.30 pm


Dec. 4
Play: Deccan Herald Inter-Collegiate Theatre Fete
Location: Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, Vasanth Nagar
Time: 5 pm to 9 pm


Dec. 5
Play: A Little Calm Before the Storm
Director: Vandana Prabhu
Location: Ranga Shankara, J.P. Nagar
Time: 7 pm to 8 pm


Dec. 8
Play: A Funny Thing Called Life
Director: Prashanth Nair
Location: Goethe Institut - Max Mueller Bhavan, Indiranagar
Time: 7.30 pm 8.30 pm


Dec. 9
Play: The Woman in Me
Director: Pawan Kumar
Location: MLR Convention Centre, J.P. Nagar 7th Stage
Time: 7 pm to 8 pm


Dec. 10
Play: Boiled Beans on Toast
Director: Prakash Belawadi
Location: Good Shepherd Auditorium, Museum Road
Time: 7 pm to 9 pm

This year, the theatre festival has been curated by Sandbox Collective.
