<p class="bodytext">MLA J R Lobo has said that he will extend assistance for the construction of anganwadi buildings.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He was speaking at the Sthree Shakthi convention and Children's day celebrations organised by Anganwadi workers and assistants and Sthree Shakthi groups of Mangaluru South Assembly constituency on Saturday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"If anganwadis have their own site, then all support will be extended for the construction of its building," he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Lauding the efforts of anganwadi workers, he said that anganwadi workers have been working towards ensuring that government schemes reach the commonman.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Mayor Kavitha Sanil said that the government should support sthree shakthi groups. Services of sthree shakthi members should be availed during the opening of Indira canteens, she said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Diya Systems CEO Dr Ravichandran said that Diya Systems is ready to impart skill training for anganwadi workers free of cost.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Selco distributed tablets to 10 anganwadis. CDPO Shobha, Jyothi of Sthree Shakthi Okkuta and Women and Child Welfare department Deputy Director Sundar Poojary were present.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Children from the anganwadi centres presented a cultural programme.</p>
