Obituary

Journalist Rajasekhar Koti (71) died of heart attack in Bengaluru on Thursday. He had been to Bengaluru on some work, where he suffered chest pain, on Wednesday night. He was taking rest in a hotel room, after availing treatment for the chest pain.

A native of Huyilagola in Gadag district, Koti started his career in 'Prapancha' journal of Patil Puttappa in Dharwad. Later, he brought 'Andolana', a weekly paper in Gadag, to Mysuru and published it as a daily newspaper. At present, it is a regional daily.

He is survived by wife, two daughters and a son. The cremation was held at the cemetery at the foot of Chamundi Hill on Thursday evening.
