JOIN USThe 12 Proteas in action at the IPL have not made much of a mark but Pollock said that is no indication of how they would perform in the World cup starting April 28.
“Much has been made of Proteas players under-performing in this season’s IPL and how it might affect the teams morale come the Twenty20 World Championships,” Pollock told the weekly ‘Saturday Citizen’.
“Contrary to what some may think, quite a lot of the squad members have had very little game time in the IPL, and I think that will be a motivating factor,” Pollock added.
“One should remember that the guys will be playing for their country again and that counts for a lot as there is a collective pride and unity present. Naturally it will extend to performances on the field as every member knows each other pretty well.”
