<p><br /> <br />According to a Kolar report, three persons were killed and 48 sustained injuries in a head-on collision between two buses near Narasapura on the outskirts of City.<br /><br />According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the driver of an Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation bus tried to overtake a vehicle.<br /><br />The dead were identified as Syed Ayub of Jayanagar, Bangalore; Hanumantharayappa of Benniganahalli and Syed Aizad of Kolar. The condition of the five is stated to be critical and four of them were shifted to Bangalore for treatment. <br /><br />A Chikkaballapur report said that two people were killed and 26 were injured, 10 of them seriously, when a KSRTC bus fell into Veeradimammana valley on the outskirts of City. According to police, the accident occurred as the driver of theGauribidanur-bound lost control. Narayanamma (40) from Guvvalahalli and Muniyappa (78) from Marasanahalli were killed. Seriously injured were shifted to Bangalore for treatment.</p>
