D K Ravi's mother seeks re-investigation into his death

The mother IAS officer D K Ravi, who committed suicide, has sought re-investigation into the case by a separate wing of the CBI.

"We are not happy with the CBI investigation. I reiterate that my son was murdered. We want a re-investigation by a separate wing of the CBI," Gowramma, Ravi's mother, told reporters here on Friday.

She stated that the CBI was yet to provide her documents enclosed with the report.

"We've submitted applications over 30 times seeking enclosures of the CBI report, but there has been no response," she claimed.

Gowramma alleged that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his cabinet colleagues K J George and D K Shivakumar were involved in her son's murder and had influenced the CBI in furnishing the wrong report.

"They projected that my son hanged himself over personal reasons, which is totally false. They've hushed up the matter," she said.

To a question, Gowramma said, "There is heavy pressure on me to contest the Assembly election. I haven't taken any decision yet. At present, my priority is to seek a re-investigation into my son's death."
