JOIN USA 26-year old construction labourer was found murdered near the Iskcon Temple at Mahalakshmi Layout, North Bengaluru, on early Sunday morning.
The victim has been identified as Manikanta, a resident of Bhovi Palya. The police suspect that two of his friends killed him over a financial dispute.
According to the police, they received information about the attack on Manikanta around 5.30 am. When they got to the spot, they found him bludgeoned to death and lying in a pool of blood. He was taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead.
Preliminary inquiry revealed that two of Manikanta's friends, Santosh and Nagaraj, were responsible for the murder. Locals and passersby said they had seen the three men walking together just before Manikanta was found dead, the police said. Efforts are on to nab Santosh and Nagaraj.
The Mahalakshmi Layout police have registered a case of murder.
