JEE-Main: Karnataka to have 14 more test centres

The dates of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main have been announced and Karnataka will have 14 more centres for the test.

The pen and paper based test will be held across the country on April 8, 2018, and the computer-based test on April 15 and 16. Clearing the JEE (Main) is the first step to gaining entry to premier engineering colleges in the country, including IITs and NITs.  

There are a total of 17 centres in Karnataka, with three of them-Bengaluru, Hubballi and Mangaluru-authorised to conduct both modes of the test. The other 14, which include Bagalkot, Belgavi, Shivamogga and Tumakuru, among others, will conduct only the computer-based examination.

In total, there are 248 centres in the country and 10 outside the country.
