The Funmax 4D Theatre combines the visual drama of a 3D film with a variety of sensory effects, which are built into the theatre seats and the theatre environment.
Most films are transformed into 20-minute experiences and will virtually bring on-screen images to life with added effects, such as water, mist, wind, a neck-air blast, bubbles, steam, scents, enhanced floor lighting and seat vibrations!

Speaking on the occasion, Anand Patti, the Managing Director of Funmax Family Entertainment explained, “4D, as a technology, combines the effect of 3D movies while also incorporating external physical effects like movement in seats and environmental enhancers. It is wholesome family entertainment which all ages can enjoy.

In fact, since Bangalore is a vibrant and cosmopolitan market, we know that audiences here will certainly be receptive to the whole 4D experience. It is a cinematic adventure filled with thrilling sensory effects such as wind, mist, scents and dramatic lighting!”  The films screened are more in the nature of short entertainment films like House of Horrors with plenty of blood and gore for horror buffs or educational films on nature and marine life.

The special effects are quite exciting with stunning visuals and unexpected sensory surprises. One can actually hear the power of the ocean’s waves as they crash along the shoreline, and feel the salty spray with the seals and turtles as they swim underwater surrounded by shoals of iridescent fish. All in all, a good theatre experience which can be enjoyed by all ages. Visitors will be able to watch images come to life, while hydraulic seats, vapours, and a range of smells and scents suited to the illusions on the screen will add an extra dimension to the experience.
