Cops hunt for owner of cab involved in gory crash

The traffic police are on the lookout for  the owner of  an Uber cab that caused an accident on the elevated expressway in South Bengaluru's Hosur Road on October 14,  killing two people instantly.  

Suresh A, of Vellore, got his 20-year-old friend, Saravanan, to drive the cab though he didn't have a driving licence. Saravanan drove so rashly that two people  - brothers-in-law  - were thrown off the flyover.  

The jurisdictional Madiwala traffic  police had arrested Saravanan immediately after the accident. He is still in judicial custody as his bail application was rejected by the court. He and  Suresh have been booked for  causing death due to  negligence  as well as rash and reckless driving.
