Sonata net up 4% at Rs 79.87 cr

 However, the revenue decline had a little outcome on the profit margin. The net profit witnessed a 4 per cent growth at Rs 79.87 crore for the year 2009-10 against Rs 76.57 crore during the financial year 2008-09.

Growth in revenue
The consolidated revenue for quarter ended as on March 31, 2010 was Rs 319 crore compared to Rs 368 crore in Q4 2008-09 registering an YoY decline of  13 per cent. The earnings per share climbed up by 4 per cent at Rs 7.60 per share at the end of fourth quarter.

Commenting on the results Sonata Software Limited President & Managing Director B Ramaswamy said: “Our customer focused approach and innovations has helped us in sustaining growth in a tough year. The currency fluctuation and volatility was another reason that affected the profit margin.”
