"BJP, which has taken to politics of violence in the state's coastal region, has no moral right to go on a Jana Suraksha Yatra," alleged  District in-charge Minister B Ramanath Rai.

Rai spoke at a media conference held at the district Congress committee office on Monday.

"The murders occurring in the Karavali region in an organised manner suggest that BJP and Sangh Parivar are directly responsible for them. The Jana Suraksha Yatra is a ruse to mislead people," Rai alleged.

The minister said that in Bantwal taluk alone, there have been five communal murders in four years. BJP and Sangh Parivar are behind these murders he accused.

"The BJP is taking out this yatra for political gain and not to establish peace. Their aim is to cause unrest," Rai alleged.
