Karnataka duo of Drithi Yatheesh and Trisha Hegde reigned supreme in the under-17 girls' doubles category at the 42nd Junior national badminton championships in Guwahati on Monday.
Drithi and Trisha defeated Telangana's Keyura Mopati and Kavipriya S of Puducherry, 19-21, 21-15, 22-20 in the final.
Another Karnataka girl Mithula UK claimed a double as she partnered Rituparna Panda to win the girls' under-19 doubles and then paired up with Krishna Prasad G to win the under-19 mixed doubles final.
In the girls' doubles, Mithula and Rituparna scored a 21-14, 21-13 win over Simran Singhi and Ritika Thaker.
In the mixed doubles' title clash, Mithula and Krishna beat Sri Krishna Sai Kumar Podile and Rituparna 23-21, 21-18.
Meanwhile, Aryamann Tandon of Air India and Aakarshi Kashyap of Chhattisgarh won the under-19 boys' and girls' singles titles respectively.
Second seed Aryamann defeated Karnataka's Rahul Bhardhvaj 10-21, 21-18, 21-19 in the boys' final while top seed Aakarshi powered past Vaidehi Choudhari of Maharashtra, seeded eighth, 22-20 21-11 in the summit clash.
