Praveen is learnt to have lost a lot of money by betting on the outcome of IPL matches.
A student at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology (AIT), Praveen is said to have sent SMSes to his friends before his suicide, stating that he had borrowed a lot of money for betting and that he did not want to burden his father.
