Independent MLA Varthur Prakash said on Saturday that his political outfit Namma Congress will be launched at Kudalasangama, Bagalkot district, on December 31.
About 70 constituencies have been identified for fielding candidates from the party in the coming Assembly election, he told reporters.
Prakash accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of neglecting the Kuruba community.
"He emerged as a tall leader in Karnataka due to the support of Ahinda (Kannada acronym for backward classes, Dalits and minorities). But he has let them down. Instead, he is promoting family politics in the Congress," he charged.
