The Mahadayi river water dispute agitation took a bizarre turn when Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (Karave) youth wing activists, cut their own hands with blades as a mark of protest.
As the struggle intensified here at the Hubballi railway station premises, the protesting youth slashed their arms and wrists to express their anger.
Police shifted the injured to the KIMS hospital for treatment.
