State Cong told to rent house for Venugopal till elections

Last Updated 30 December 2017, 12:54 IST

AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka KC Venugopal is learnt to have asked the state party unit to find a rented house for him to stay in Bengaluru.

The Congress leader, who has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the party's election strategy, will be spending much of his time in Karnataka, especially Bengaluru, till the election. He has been staying at Kumara Krupa guest house during his visits to Bengaluru.

Sources in the state party said Venugopal is not feeling comfortable staying at the guest house. He finds it difficult to hold party meetings at the guest house, where leaders from other political parties also stay during their visits to Bengaluru. So, he has asked the state unit to find a rented accommodation close to the party office on Queen's Road.

The party recently took a five-bedroom flat on rent in Vasanthnagar in Bengaluru, where AICC secretaries in-charge of Karnataka are staying.
