11-year-old girl run over by bike

An 11-year-old girl died after being knocked down by a speeding motorcycle on the outskirts of Devanahalli, North Bengaluru, on Sunday.  

Anju, the daughter of Venugopal, a resident of Avathi village, was returning home after fetching drinking water from a nearby tap. The biker, identified as  Nikesh, was caught by the villagers and tied to a  pole. They  thrashed him before calling the police. Police booked him for rash and negligent.
