Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has alleged that the Prime Minister is misusing the funds of the government by going on frequent foreign tours.

Speaking to reporters on his way to Kodagu on Tuesday, the chief minister said that the Prime Minister has done nothing other than going to different places around the globe by using public funds.

In reply to a query over Amit Shah's frequent visits to the state, the chief minister said that the national BJP president is suffering from insecurity following the forthcoming state Assembly elections.

He added that Congress would list out the names of candidates at an appropriate time and make a formal announcement.

'Shah a failure'

"Shah would prove a failure. Hence, there is no fear for the Congress over numerous closed door meetings held by Shah. Congress would continue to be the next power in Karnataka and there is no doubt about that," the CM reiterated.

On Twitter war

In reply to another query over the Twitter war between him and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, the CM said that let UP CM look into his state's affairs instead of poking his nose into unnecessary issues.

"The farmers' suicide in the state is owing to a severe drought. However, the state government is taking care of the farmers," he said.

He also said that he has nothing to do with former Prime Minister Deve Gowda. He was referring to the remarks made by former PM alleging that Siddaramaiah is disrespecting the veteran politician.

The CM added that he has nothing against Deve Gowda.

He alleged that the central government is initiating IT raids against his own near and dear ones.

"The people who are close to me are being searched and targeted," he alleged.
