<p class="bodytext">The city-based All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) has recently signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gurgaon-based Sun Renewables to implement a rooftop solar power plant.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) has set a target for achieving 1 lakh MW as India's solar power capacity by 2022.</p>.<p class="bodytext">To achieve this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed expeditious installation of rooftop solar projects on government buildings.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has initiated the installation of rooftop solar power plants on all buildings of its institutions and offices.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Under this programme, AIISH has been allocated a 472 kWh (Kilo Watt hour) grid-connected rooftop solar power system.</p>.<div>The project is being implemented at AIISH by NTPC Vidyuth Vyapar Nigam Limited, through Sun Renewables.
