Delegation to meet CM seeking formation of Cauvery taluk

The Cauvery Taluku Horata Kendriya Samiti will take a delegation to the CM to urge him to consider the formation of Cauvery taluk.

The decision was made during a meeting of the committee at Kannika Auditorium on Tuesday.

The members said that the government has responded positively to the demand therefore, the indefinite stir is called-off.

Briefing reporters, V P Shashidhar said that elected representatives from the ruling party should impress upon the government to fulfill the demands for a new taluk. KPCC Chairman Dr G Parameshwar has also responded positively, he said.

Horata Samiti general secretary and advocate R K Nagendra Babu, members S K Sathish, Abdul Khader, M V Narayana, Mustaf and others were present.
