JOIN USChief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday, inaugurated the 'Model Making Centre' developed by the JSS Knowledge Research Centre for Science and Technology, at Suttur in Nanjangud taluk. The centre has been developed with financial aid from the Union and state governments.
At present, a temporary structure has been set up and the authorities have planned to build the centre on 10 acres of land in future. The centre will promote and popularise science and technology through hands-on learning concept. The centre consists of a planetarium, a multi-media centre, science, and technology gallery, laboratories, libraries, a computer centre among others. Workshops on science and a variety of scientific model designing will be organised at the centre. The authorities had organised workshops and 55 high school students took part in the programme.
Foundation for the centre was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 18, 2016.
