Food kiosks at NHAI toll plazas

Toll plazas run by NHAI will soon have kiosks selling drinking water, tea/coffee and packaged food, the government said on Friday.

"Called Highway Nests, these kiosks are under construction on both up-side and down-side at all 372 National Highways Authority of India toll plazas," the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement.

These kiosks will also have toilets, including those for the physically challenged. Two such kiosks have started functioning in Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh and will come up at all NHAI plazas by April.
