Speaking to reporters here on Friday, the minister said people dependent on beef business could be employed in industries or provided autorickshaws for livelihood.
He also claimed that Muslims as a community were not against the anti-cowslaughter legislation.
Priority will be accorded to applicants who have applied thrice previously while providing Haj subsidy, from next year. Such applicants will be treated as a separate group and will not be included in the lottery system for allotment, the minister said.
