A man died on the spot, as a gun misfired at him, while he was hunting under Harohalli Forest Range, in HD Kote taluk in the district on Sunday night.
Shivannegowda (50) of Kuniyanahundi in HD Kote taluk, is the deceased.
He, along with five of his friends, had gone for hunting to Harohalli Forest and the incident occurred near a Soliga Colony. According to sources, Shivannegowda sustained bullet injuries when one of his friends fired at a wild boar.
HD Kote police, who visited the spot, are investigating the case.
