A deputy tahsildar, a lawyer and a broker have been booked for demanding sex for changing the khata of properties from a woman to her adopted daughter.

The woman wanted changes in the khata for her properties in Dasanapura hobli and had approached Deputy Tahsildhar Muniraj, lawyer Dinesh Kumar and broker Srinivas.

The three men agreed to complete the job if she paid
Rs 30 lakh.

In the complaint, the 44-year-old woman has stated that she gave Rs 5 lakh to Kumar in February 2017 and another Rs 5 lakh to Muniraj, Kumar and Srinivas in July 2017.

When the woman, along with her adopted daughter, gave Rs 3 lakh in December 2017 to Muniraj near a Shiva temple in Guruguntepalya, he told the woman that he liked her adopted daughter.

Muniraj said if she is willing to come to Goa with him for two days, he will get the registration done within no time.

Later, Kumar called the girl on her mobile phone and demanded sexual favours.

Srinivas then called the woman and told her she had to pay Rs 12 lakh more or else her registration work will not be processed.

On January 18, the woman and her daughter met Muniraj, Kumar and Srinivas near Guruguntepalya and told them to either complete the khata work or return the money.

The three men hurled abuses at the women and threatened to kill them if they ask for money.

The woman then registered a complaint. However, the police are yet to make any arrests. "We are looking into the case," a senior police officer said.
