Doctor, 65, misbehaves with patient, booked

A 65-year-old doctor has been booked for misbehaving with a woman patient at his private clinic in Anjana Nagar in West Bengaluru.

Dr Shivaram had retired after working for a government hospital for 30 years and set up his own clinic. Police said the doctor had earned a good name for himself in the locality by offering generous concessions on his treatment fees.

However, a 25-year-old woman who came to his clinic on Monday for treatment has alleged that Dr Shivaram misbehaved with her. She stated in her complaint that she ran out of the clinic raising an alarm. A passerby rescued her and called the police.

Following the woman's complaint, the Byadarahalli police are questioning Dr Shivaram.
