Sacked All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) member Maulana Salman Nadavi has been accused of seeking money and other favours in exchange for an out of court settlement of the Ayodhya dispute.

The allegations were levelled by Ayodhya Sadbhavna Samanvya Samiti president Amarnath Mishra, who also claimed that he had video recording of an alleged conversation with a representative of Nadawi to prove his charge.

Mishra has also lodged a complaint with the police.

Mishra alleged that Nadawi had sought a huge amount of money, 200 acres of land in Ayodhya and a Rajya Sabha nomination in exchange for mediating on the issue.

Nadawi has denied the allegations and said that he did not know Mishra.

Nadawi had offered to shift the Babri masjid out of Ayodhya and supported construction of Ram temple on the disputed site. He was expelled from the Board recently.
