JOIN USIn a press release, Girish stated that Vijay, who sought CBI inquiry into the allegations, has forgotten the fact that he is also a member of the Board. “Being a member of the Coffee Board, Vijay will also be responsible for any irregularities in the Board. Let him explain what role he played to help the coffee growers in the region as a member of the Coffee Board,” he added.
“Vijay, who was demanding special package for coffee growers, is now tightlipped about the issue. Let him reveal the reason for his silence with regard to the deamnd of special package,” Girish questioned adding that the central government did not respond to the demand for special package even after one year.
Commenting on Vijay’s allegations of Coffee Board President ignoring members, Girish said, “Vijay should have resigned from the Board, if the President was not listening to members.” There is no logic in criticising the President after his transfer, he added.
“Let all Board members resign from the post and join hands with coffee growers in their fight for special package,” Girish demanded.
