This reply came when reporters asked him certain questions regarding land allotment to the BMIC, the promoters of NICE road. The PWD is the nodal department for the project implementation.
It is the Public Works Department which gives permission to the KIADB to acquire land for the project and prepares agenda for the high level committee meeting to review the project.
Suvarna Soudha
The ongoing construction of Suvarna Soudha in Belgaum will be completed by December this year, he added.
The department has so far spent Rs 100 crore on the project, which is estimated to cost Rs 230 crore.
The winter session of the State Legislature will be held at Suvarna Soudha in January 2011, he added.
