The victim Shabreen Taj was married to Sameer, a carpenter, December last. Last night, Shabreen came to her sister Asma's house in D J Halli and left around 10.30 pm. Next day morning her father-in-law Syed Khaleel called Asma saying Shabreen was being shifted to hospital in a serious condition. Asma and her family members rushed to the hospital only to be told by Khaleel that Shabreen was no more, police said.
Asma has lodged a complaint against Sameer and his family accusing them of murdering Shabreen. Later, Abdul Hafeez, Asma's husband, caught Sameer who was allegedly fleeing and handed him over to the police. K G Halli police haveregistered a case under Section 306 IPC.
