Parameshwara and I are like brothers, says Siddaramaiah

Setting aside personal differences, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and KPCC President Dr G Parameshwara put up a united front at the Janashirvada Yathre rally held at Koratagere, Tumakuru district, on Sunday.

Addressing a rally of Congress party workers, Siddaramaiah stressed that Parameshwara must win the polls. "If Parameshwara wins, it is as good as AICC President Rahul Gandhi winning; and if Rahul Gandhi wins; it is a victory for me," the CM said.

"Parameshwara must not lose at any cost. He has served the party as its state president for seven years. He and I are like brothers. We have no differences of opinion at all. Those are rumours spread by people who want to sully the party's image," Siddaramaiah said.

The CM again stressed that the KPCC chief and he had no differences in choosing candidates for the election or distribution of ministerial berths.

"Congress coming back to power is as true as the Sun rising tomorrow morning," Siddaramaiah claimed.
