BBMP makes Kannada must for boards on display

Now Kannada must on display boards

The BBMP has made it compulsory for boards on display to be in Kannada. The corporation also plans to inspect places in the city.

BBMP Commissioner, N Manjunath Prasad said in a Tweet,"It is mandatory for all shops to have 60 percent of the name boards in Kannada. Next week, we will inspect some places in the city and take necessary action if it has not been implemented."

Earlier, KDA had asked the BBMP to ensure that name boards of all commercial establishments within the BBMP limits should be displayed in Kannada.
