Udupi pontiffs to take action against Shiroor Mutt seer

The seers of six mutts of Udupi Ashta Mutts have decided to take action against Shiroor mutt seer Sri Lakshmivara Theertha Swami over his reported "false accusations before media".

The seers, excluding Puttige Mutt seer who is away from Udupi, held a closed-door meeting on Thursday midnight and discussed the development.

Later, Pejawar mutt seer Vishwesha Theertha Swami told reporters that the seers have decided to take action against the Shiroor mutt seer for his "defamatory statements against the Ashta Mutt seers" and the decision would be disclosed at an appropriate time.
