Altran completes acquisition of Aricent Technologies

Altran,  part of $2 billion French technology and innovation consulting company, on Thursday announced the completion of the acquisition of Aricent Technologies.

Aricent,   Santa Clara (California)-headquartered global design and engineering company, will help Altran to become the undisputed global leader in semiconductors, digital experience and design innovation.

The announcement follows receipt of all required approvals of all closing conditions under an agreement announced on November 29, 2017, between Aricent, Altran through its subsidiary Altran US and KKR.

The acquisition will help the Paris-headquartered Altran to assume global leadership in engineering and R&D services, which is expected to reach $220 billion by 2020.

Commenting on the development, Altran CEO and Chairman  Dominique Cerutti said the acquisition will help the company partner with its clients in better way to create innovative products and services, from initial concept through industrialisation.

Combined, Altran and Aricent generated revenues of €2.9 billion in 2017, with some 45,000 employees in more than 30 countries.
