Swaraj India party on Tuesday announced the names of six candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka.
Darshan Puttannaiah, son of farmer leader and the late MLA K S Puttannaiah, will be contesting from Melkote constituency. The other candidates are Linge Gowda S H (Maddur), K P Bhootayya (Challakere, Chitradurga district), D Srikantaswamy (Hanooru, Chamarajanagar), Vaijanath Patil (Yadgir) and N Shivananda Kugwe (Nagara, Shivamogga).
The second list of candidates will be announced on April 13.
