Speaking at the district-level Congress party workers convention in Madikeri on Friday, she said that the CM should openly declare which development works have been halted by interference of the Opposition.

She said “BJP government came to power with false assurances to the people. Even after two years, no development works have been undertaken. Instead, the government is unnecessarily wasting time. The assurance of rice for poor at Rs 2 per kg, construction of 15 lakh houses for the poor, free electricity to the farmers have remained only in paper. The people of the State are tired of the maladministration of the BJP government and will teach them a lesson in the Gram Panchayat elections.

Motamma said “Chief Minister does not have any confidence in winning the Gram Panchayat elections. Hence, the government had appointed Administrators to the Gram Panchayats. Using various tactics, the BJP won BBMP polls. Keeping an eye on Gram Panchayat, the CM has started Vijaya Sankalpa yathre.” ‘

She said the Government has failed in providing rehabilitation to the flood victims of North Karnataka. The CM is not in a position to administer owing to lack of experience in administration. The State government is still in uncertainty. Yeddyurappa should have stepped down soon after presenting the budget. However, owing to BBMP poll results, he was saved.”

Motamma said “one will not be surprised if the government falls owing to the internal differences within the government.”

The development works in the State are taking place due to the funds sanctioned by the
Central government. It was Central government which gave funds for the Ambulances under Arogya Raksha Kavacha project. Unfortunately, the ambulance has the photo of Chief Minister and Health Minister Sriramulu.

Congress leader V S Ugrappa said “if government had gone for CBI enquiry into the Bellary mining, then BJP leaders including B S Yeddyurappa, Sushma Swaraj, M Venkayyanaidu would have landed in jail. The BJP government will collapse before its term gets over.”

State Mahila Congress President Manjula Naidu said “BJP does not have any history and culture. One can not expect any solution to solve the problems of the State.”

District Congress President Veena Acchaiah, MLC T John, former ministers M M Nanaiah, Suma Vasanth and others were present.
