The High Court of Karnataka on Friday issued a notice to N R Santhosh Kumar, personal assistant to state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, in connection with a petition seeking cancellation of  his bail application.

A sessions court had granted bail to Santhosh  in a case against him for attempting to kidnap N S Vinay, former personal assistant of BJP leader KS Eshwarappa.

Bail conditions violated

Justice Srinivas Harish Kumar ordered to issue a notice in connection with a petition filed by the Mahalakshmi Layout police, accusing Santhosh of violating bail conditions and refusing to cooperate in the investigation as promised during the sanctioning of his bail.

The petition stated that Santhosh is not appearing before the investigating officer and is leaving the city without the probe official's permission.

According to the sessions court direction, he should have surrendered his mobile phone to the investigating officer, which he has not done until now, to carry forward the probe.

Justice Kumar directed him to file objections, and adjourned the case for further hearing.
