MLA H D Revanna, on Saturday, lambasted the Congress party and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and said that All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Rahul Gandhi wants only 'thieves' like State Government Employees Association president Bagur Manjegowda.

Revanna was speaking to reporters, here, and said that the Congress party is planning to field Manjegowda from Holenarasipur Assembly segment in Hassan.

"Manjegowda is a fraud. A case is pending before him. So, the Law Department has advised the government that it is not proper to accept his resignation. Manjegowda has looted crores of rupees illegally. If the state government, led by Siddaramaiah, accepts his resignation, we will launch a legal fight against both him and the government," Revanna warned.

"A complaint against Manjegowda has been registered with the Lokayukta. If Siddaramaiah has the moral right, the case should be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)," Revanna demanded.

Taking exception to the statement of Rahul Gandhi, who described the JD(S) as the BJP's 'B' team, Revanna said, "Gandhi should seek the details about their Holenarsipur aspirant Manjegowda first. Though the Congress party has a lot of frauds, Rahul is accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and B S Yeddyurappa of irregularities."

Revanna alleged that the Congress leaders are not allowing the officials to work efficiently. If the officials work without any prejudice, the leaders target them.

Replying to a query about Prajwal Brigade members' agitation, demanding a ticket to his son, Prajwal, Revanna said, "JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda will resolve the issue. There is nothing wrong in demanding a ticket, but, it will be decided by the party leaders."
