Actor Ekta Rathod has been waiting patiently for the release of 'BMW' and is excited that the movie is ready to hit the screens soon. The model-turned-actor, who was last seen on screen in 'Siliconn City' and in 'Masterpiece', believes that the film's story will attract movie buffs to the theatres.

In a candid chat with Tini Sara Anien, she talks about her role and the movie.

What has been going on at your end?

I have been waiting for 'BMW' to come out. After 'Siliconn City', I have been travelling and adding to my skills. I am waiting for the audience to see my performance so that I can decide on future scripts.

Has travelling changed you?

I love travelling and I love going places by myself. Solo travels always help one to rediscover themselves and push oneself beyond boundaries. You always feel like you have achieved something when you are on solo trips, taking your own decisions and doing things for yourselves.

Tell us a bit about 'BMW'.

The movie is a college-based story and would remind everyone of their campus days. All the characters that one will see in the film will remind you of someone from your own college days. I play a stylish college-girl in the film.

Did 'BMW' take you on a walk down memory lane?

I wish I had had such an eventful college life. During my younger days, I was concentrating a lot on modelling and had to skip classes. When we were doing different scenes in the movie, be it scenes in the canteen or pulling pranks or sharing jokes, I wished that all those moments could have been a part of my own campus memories.

How different was this role compared to earlier ones?

I've acted as a college student in my earlier projects too but this was a lot of more fun. There were no challenges involved but there were definitely a lot more moments on the sets when I smiled. I have my hopes pinned on BMW.

A role that you want to do.

I have nothing pre-set in my mind but I want to do films where I won't just be remembered as a pretty face but will stay in people's memories for the work I
did. I want to be seen in performance-oriented roles.

You seem to have a new love, zouk, a unique dance form. Tell us more.

I have always been passionate about learning new dance forms as I love dancing. During my trip to the US, I got introduced to zouk and wanted to instantly learn it. It requires team effort to learn the form. I was more excited because no one teaches it here. I like learning new things!
