'Suvarna Grama scheme works substandard'

He said that though the project was implemented about two years ago, not even half of the project has been completed yet. “All the projects are still in action plan and have not been implemented yet. The action plan for building SC/ST colonies has not been prepared according to reservation,” he said and added that whatever little works have been implemented under the Project are of sub standard quality.

“The buildings have developed cracks within few months of construction. Most of the areas have no road connectivity. MLA has provided roads to some areas on priority basis,” he alleged. He said that Land Army which has taken up road works, is not executing the works accoring to the norms.

“Narrow roads have been laid. The proportion of grid and bitumen used to lay the road is also very less hence the roads have developed potholes already,” he said and warned of informing the Lokayukta about the same if quality work is not taken up in future.

He further said that the names of voters are being deleted from the voters’ list with some intention. He cited that in Hesgal GP, names of about 33 voters are missing. In many regions, the names of voters has been shifted from one area to another, causing confusion.
