Sources said, soon after the officer got the information about the couple dropping into his station to lodge a complaint, the police inspector left the place and later he called a sub-inspector, who was on leave, to return to the station, immediately. However, the latter who was in his home town and did not return.
The couple who arrived at 10 pm has to wait till 11.20 pm. They finally got an acknowledgement (59/2010) to their complaint from Assistant Sub-inspector Shivarudraiah (59/2010). An FIR was not filed.
