<p>The week-long ‘Nali - Kali’ workshop held for teachers at Venkatagirikote’s Cluster Resource Centre by the Department of Public Education concluded here on Friday. The teachers were updated about the new ‘Nali - Kali’ scheme, a programme introduced by the Government for class one and two students, by resource persons Ramesh, Nagaraj and Venkatesh. <br /><br />Block Education Officer K Manjunath visited the workshop and provided relevant suggestions.<br /><br />Head Mistress of Gopasandra’s Government Higher Primary School, J L Varalakshamma presided over the valedictory function.<br /><br /> She opined that the Nali - Kali scheme was much better than the earlier schemes and advised teachers to effectively implement the programme.<br /><br /> “If implemented well, the programme will ensure that students are attracted towards the school and this will help reduce absenteeism,” she added.<br /><br />Participants at the workshop Ramachandra Gowda, Bharathi, Shivanna shared their experiences. Block Resource Centre Organiser Lakshminarayana was the chief guest at the function. Venkatareddy welcomed the gathering and <br />K Ravanappa proposed the vote of thanks.</p>
