Its total income, however, rose to Rs 3,274.21 crore from Rs 2,794.67 crore in the year-ago period.
The company registered a net profit of Rs 1,053.66 crore in the fiscal 2009-10 compared to Rs 1,001.21 crore in the previous year, up 5 per cent. The total income stood at Rs 11,962.08 crore against Rs 9,878.66 crore in 2008-09, it said in a statement.
