5 colleges get UGC tag of 'potential for excellence'

They are Yuvaraja’s College, St Philomena’s College, SBRR Mahajan First Grade College, JSS Arts and Science College, Ooty Road and JSS Women’s College, Saraswathi Puram. These colleges have been given additional funds to become model for other colleges across the country.

In a press release here, University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor Prof V G Talawar said it was a matter of pride that five colleges from the city have been given due recognition by the UGC. He has congratulated principals, teaching and non-teaching staff and board of management for their efforts.
