JOIN USRevenue Department Secretary Prabhakar has ordered that the circular must not be implemented till the next order is issue on this regard.
G S Narayanaswamy has issued this circular on February 11 when he as the secretary and has ordered the district administration to implement the points mentioned in the circular strictly without fail. Narayanaswamy was transferred to some other department recently.
The circular has stated that the special rights ensured for Kumki, Bane, Khane, Soppinabetta, Jamma Bane categories of land under Karnataka Land Revenue Act will be lifted and it will be utilised only for public purpose.
MLC M C Nanaiah had held a press conference and he gave an ultimatum to the Government to withdraw the circular within 15 days and warned the Government of intense protest in future. Though no intense protest took place, Government has now withdrawn the circular all by itself.
