Mercury drops as rain lashes parts of City

Heavy rains were reported particularly from the Bangalore South region, where at least three trees came crashing down. There were no reports of loss to properties or lives. There were reports that some areas witnessed hailstorm as well. About 5 mm of rainfall was recorded in the City.

Power supply

Two trees crashed on 36th and 38th Cross in Jayanagar and another at D'Souza Circle in Basavanagudi. Power supply was hit in Jayanagar, Uttarahalli and surrounding areas.  The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be more rainfall in the next 24 hours.
