Udupi bags 4th place, DK slips to 8th position in SSLC

The position of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada in the results of SSLC exams last year was I and IV respectively. Kodagu district has registered 75.76 per cent, ie, 0.01 per cent better than Dakshina Kannada to secure 7th place while Chikmagalur secured 15th place.

Out of the 31,543 students who appeared for SSLC exams from Dakshina Kannada district, 22,949 have passed (10,500 boys and 12,449 girls). Similarly, out of 16,479 students who appeared for exams in Udupi, 12,739 have passed (6,086 boys and 6,653 girls).

Meanwhile, in Dakshina Kannada, as many as 40 schools have secured 100 per cent results out of which 1 is aided, 2 are government and 37 are unaided. Similary, in Udupi, 12 students have secured 100 per cent results out of which 1 is aided and 11 are unaided. No government school has achieved 100 per cent results in Udupi.

Zero per cent results

In the State, a total of 86 schools have registered zero per cent results. Out of them, 2 are government schools and 84 are private schools. Bidar registered the lowest pass percentage of 32 in the State.

Three students have bagged 619 marks, the highest in the State. However, the Minister did not disclose their names on Wednesday.
