Blood is thicker than water

Mamas has bundled up comedy and action into his first film. Discouragingly, 90 per cent of the jokes seem too corny to give us some good laughs.

Paappi (Dileep) and his ‘appachan’ (father) Nirappel Mathai, who  are more like friends, run an array of enterprises. They may have varied business motives, but the well known truth is they have sweated over them to give their panchayat too its due.

What leads to the father- son break-up? The real villain remains hidden under the veneer of respectability, till the very end.
